What makes Coherent Care different?

Coherent Care focuses on the young, the mom, and the professional. We collaborate with your therapist or other healthcare providers, if you so choose. We are available evenings and weekends. We provide more than just medication to treat your symptoms.

Can my partner seek treatment as well?

Yes! Research shows that up to 10% of fathers experience postpartum depression. That number increases to 25% for first time fathers. Whether you’re a father, or a support person in any capacity, we acknowledge that mental health care can affect you in the postpartum timeframe as well.

Take insurance?

While we don’t directly accept insurance, you may have OON benefits. Let’s check to see if you’re eligible!

What mental health disorders do you treat?

We address the following concerns:

Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity (ADHD)

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder

My daughter is in college. Can I set up treatment for her?

Yes. As long as the patient’s primary residence is in a state that we serve, we are more than happy to consider treatment. Please note, we are a HIPPA compliant facility!

I am scheduled with an OBGYN for wellness visits. Can we coordinate care?

Absolutely! For our pregnant or postpartum moms, we love to be part of the care team. With required Release of Records, we can determine how to best support you as we connect mental health with physical health for you and baby.

Do you offer treatment letters?

For established patients, we do offer treatment letters (including ESA letters) for a fee. We also can be booked for school-based consultation appointments (IEP, 504 meetings) when scheduled with the provider.

What if I don’t want to be on medication? Are there other options?

This involves an integrative approach. It’s also considered a whole-body-and-mind treatment method where the patient seeks to address lifestyle and nutritional changes. We partner with patients who prefer this approach to offer labs, nootropics, and supplements.

How long does treatment last?

No patient’s journey is identical. Some patients are novices to medication treatment, and require more support. Some things to consider are environmental support, access to resources, trauma, and history of medication use. Some patients have more aggressive symptoms. With consistent treatment, is not unheard of to have remission of a disorder or concern within three to six months. However, it is often beneficial to continue with quarterly mental health “check-ins”.

I’m pregnant. Can I still take medications?

As a patient, you have options! Pregnancy does not negate treatment. In fact, we consider risk versus benefit, and treatment for remission of symptoms so that we have a healthy, well-minded mom. Options for mom will be explored during the Comprehensive Exam.

What is the no-show policy?

If you do not show for your appointment, you will be charged the full cost of your visit. Patients must notify the provider within 24 hours hours prior to the appointment via email or message through PracticeQ portal to cancel and avoid being charged.

What resources are available after hours if I am in crisis?

If you are in crisis, please consider the following:

-911 or report to nearest hospital in your area

-National Suicide Hotline:  1-800-273-8255 , or connect to their live online chat

- National Maternal Mental Health Hotline: 1-833-TLC-MAMA (call or text)

Will I know about fees and cost before my appointment?

In compliance with the " No Surprises Act", we provide Good Faith Estimates to all patients before time of service. This includes if they choose to complete lab testing, or upgrade services.
